About the Host

Chanda Smith Baker is a nationally recognized executive, entrepreneur, and strategist whose 25+ year career spans philanthropy, business, government, and community. Known for her clarity, conviction, and poise in leadership, Chanda has led complex organizations and driven transformative strategies that center racial equity and broaden social impact. She is the Founder and CEO of Smith Baker LLC, an executive coaching and consulting firm helping individuals, organizations, and communities align values with vision. She previously served as Chief Impact Officer at the Minneapolis Foundation and as President and CEO of Pillsbury United Communities. Chanda also co-founded The Black Collective Foundation MN and is co-curator of Portraits of Us: A Book of Essays Centering Black Women Leading Philanthropy. She hosts the award-winning podcast Conversations with Chanda and serves on the boards of The Joyce Foundation, Allina Health Foundation (Chair), and NACD MN.
